Across the year, educators will document your child’s learning and development through observations using a range of accepted tools such as learning stories, photographs, checklists, portfolios and children’s artefacts. Educators make use of observations to interpret children’s learning and development to inform and plan the program. They also reflect on their approaches to teaching and learning as part of continuous practice improvement.
Documentation on your child’s learning and development will be shared with you across the year. There is also opportunity for informal and scheduled conversations to share your child’s experiences, ask questions and access support as needed.
While photographs of your child’s day will be shared, please note it is most important for our educators to be present, emotionally available and situationally aware when working directly with your child. There may or may not be appropriate times to photograph your child throughout the day.
